SCENE 16: ZEN RELIGION

TOKI NO SUDAMA:

The time has come.
Murasaki-no-ue-sama's determined time has ended.
It is of time, nothing more.

HIKARU GENJI:

Who.... are you?

TOKI NO SUDAMA:

So at last you have noticed me then?
I am the one who decides the allotment of time for all human lives.

HIKARU GENJI:

Time for all human lives?

TOKI NO SUDAMA:

Exactly. I am the Time Spirit.

HIKARU GENJI:

I don't need such a thing!

BRILLIANT LOVE SONG

Song Intro:

HIKARU GENJI (Singing):

I need nothing more now.
I don't need time to pass anymore.

HIKARU GENJI (Speaking):

Murasaki-no-ue has died.
I'm left behind, alone!

TOKI NO SUDAMA (Speaking):

Did you love Murasaki-no-ue?

HIKARU GENJI (Singing):

This love....

TOKI NO SUDAMA (Singing):

Do you believe in it?

HIKARU GENJI:

I'm uncertain.

TOKI NO SUDAMA:

Your love....

HIKARU GENJI:

This grieving love.
I've lost you.
I know what love is.
There is nothing I need anymore....

TOKI NO SUDAMA:

You've waited for this day....

HIKARU GENJI:

.... Not even the joy of springtime.

TOKI NO SUDAMA:

.... Saying farewell to everything.

HIKARU GENJI:

I'll journey to find you.
Murasaki, it is all because of you
That I am filled,
That my love is overflowing.

Song Proper:

HIKARU GENJI:

You've departed.
With infinite love,
I want to reach out and hold you in my arms.

Love is left behind
With only a tear
And fragment of a smile.
It would seem so natural
To turn and see you soon beside me,
Simply giving
Your constantly pouring love.

Love is left behind;
I want to embrace this love.
I live to seek
That look in your eyes.
I've lost you;
This is the first time I've known
Such a foolish feeling.
The feeling which is love.

Love, this is love.
Eternal love
Of you.
In this world
I accomplished love.

This love,
Inside a dream
I privately see love.

This love,
While lightly sleeping
I am within a dream and see love.

NOTE: In the line "Yume no naka de", the word "ni" is added in parenthesis. In the CD single the word "de" is used, but in the DVD/video Aika Mire sings "ni" instead.
