~~~~~~~~~~~ GET COPIES
If you have don't have access to Japanese TV channels and radio programs but know someone who does, you could ask him/her to record programs and you reimburse the cost of the tapes and shipping. It never hurts to ask, and oftentimes a friend is happy to help out. =)
The official Takarazuka website has a list of upcoming features on TV and radio here:
~~~~~~~~~~~ SATELLITE CHANNEL

Takarazuka Revue is going to have its own satellite broadcasting channel staring this April, 2002! This will provide theatre performances and a myriad of exclusive programming 24 hours, 7 days a week. You can check out the official website:

Takarazuka Sky Stage

There was a survey to fill out on the website which has concluded. I wrote and asked for the channel to be available internationally. It would be so wonderful if we could get the satellite channel in countries outside of Japan. It is not available overseas, but if you would like to request it also, please send an e-mail to Takarazuka:

cs110@hankyu.co.jp

You might want to include: your name spelled out in hiragana and your original language, your address, your phone number, your fax number (if applicable), ideas for satellite channel programming, and of course your e-mail address.

In the survey, fans could suggest what types of programs and any specific performances they'd like to see air on the channel. Here is a copy of what I submitted in the idea form. (I hope my Japanese doesn't have a lot of mistakes.... they will understand it, at least.) Maybe it will give you some ideas.

In English:
Regarding the Takarazuka Revue channel, please make it international! I'm an American. I live in Los Angeles, California. I'd really like to see the Takarazuka Revue channel! There are Takarazuka fans in other countries as well, aren't there? As it's a bit difficult to see shows and stars outside of Japan, a daily channel would be so wonderful!
My ideas: I'd like to see past and future Shinjin performances! ("Melancholic Gigolo", "Elisabeth", & "Eden no Higashi", for example) I'd also like to watch Takarsienne tour videos.... Maya Miki in Salinas, Shizuki Asato in Australia, etc. Aika Mire's "LOVIN YOU" dinner show, Shizuki Asato's "Angel in Music" dinner show, performances not released on video, tea parties, retired star concert videos, and if possible, Ichiro Maki's Toho "Elisabeth" musical.
An original morning drama would be great too! Like the TV shows "Ten Urara" and "Asuka", it could be the story of a Takarasienne's life.
Also, a parody program, because TCA parodies are funny.
Thank you very much!

~~~~~~~~~~~ TRADE & FAN DISTRIBUTION
Takarazuka allows personal fan-to-fan trading and lending of Takarazuka videos recorded from TV, but asks that fans refrain from creating copy/distribution services (such as through a website or club).
~~ ~ ~~ ~ ~~
If you have and would like to trade a copy of any Takarazuka performances recorded from TV, I can trade various Takarazuka performances, Japanese TV programs, movies, and anime (as well as new and used manga) so please e-mail me by removing the spaces: dioptase @ quixium .com
I cannot do open distribution, but if you would like to check my Wish List and you have something that is listed on it, I would be happy to trade it with you for a copy of one or more of the Takarazuka videos that I have. =)
~~ ~ ~~ ~ ~~
Many Japanese animation, TV drama series, and movies are translated, subtitled, and distributed for free by fansubbers in countries other than Japan. These fans want to promote awareness and enjoyment of programs that have not been licensed for sale in their native language. Fansubs are somewhat controversial. Fansubs are not intended to be an alternative to buying commercial products, but rather a way to try something before buying. Do not ever buy a fansubbed video that is being sold for profit. Sale and rental of fansubs or any other video copies is an ILLEGAL and CRIMINAL offense. If you enjoy a video copy, please do purchase the licensed product. This justly supports the livelihood of the actors and creators, encourages more shows you'd like to be produced, and gives you the highest quality in your video.
To my knowledge, no Takarazuka performances have been fansubbed. Takarazuka fansubs may be considered in the future, as there have been more and more live-action TV series and movies translated into English and other languages.
